Gandhak Rasayana with its Indication and Usage

Gandhak Rasayana is a compound herbomineral Ayurvedic preparation of Sulphur along with other 11 herbal ingredients. The preparation of Gandhak rasayan involves first trituration of Suddha gandhaka (purified sulphur) with Godugdha (Cow milk) followed by the trituration with Chaturjata decoction (Dalchini, Ela, Tejpatra and Nagkeshara), Giloy juice swarasa, Triphala (Amla, harad, baheda) decoction, Sunthi decoction, Bhringaraja swarasa and Ardraka swarasa, for 8 times each. 


Gandhaka Rasayana ingredients

10 g fine powder of Gandhaka (Purified sulfur)

It is ground till dryness for 8 times each with the following.

Godugdha (Cow milk)
Water decoction / juice extract of
Cinnamon
Cardamom
Cinnamomum tamala
Guduchi
Haritaki
Amla fruit
Bibitaki
Ginger, fresh
Bhringaraja
Ginger, dry
Sugar Syrup

Use of Gandhaka Rasayanam

Regular use of Gandhak Rasayan gives lusture to the skin and improves its aura.

It is a good remedy for all type skin diseases, like Kustha (leprosy), Urticaria, Boils, Eczema, Acne, blood impurities, Psoriasis etc.

Chronic fever, skin diseases, diarrhea, urinary tract disorders, pruritus, malabsorption syndrome, bleeding disorders

Anti-aging, improves digestion, skin complexion and immunity

Dosage

It is given 1 - 3 gm, in morning and evening with one glass light hot milk/Khadiradiristha /Manjisthadi kwath etc.
