"ओदनो विषवान् सान्द्रो यात्यविस्त्राव्यतामिव।

चिरेण पच्यते पक्वो भवेत्पर्युषितोपमः॥

मयूरकण्ठतुल्योष्मा मोहमूर्छाप्रसेककृत्।

हीयते वर्णगन्धाद्यैः क्लिद्यते चन्द्रिकाचितः॥"

विषवान् ओदन: सान्द्र: अविस्त्राव्यतां याति इव ।

चिरेण पच्यते । पक्व: पर्युषितोपमः भवेत् ।

मयूरकण्ठतुल्योष्मा मोहमूर्छाप्रसेककृत् ।

गन्धवर्णाद्यैः हीयते । क्लिद्यते । चन्द्रिकाचितः।

Boiled rice mixed with poison 

becomes thick,

Even when it is boiling, the contents 

do not overflow from the vessel.

takes a long time to cook,

after cooking it becomes moist

and stale, very soon.

emits steam with the colour of the peacock’s neck (blue),

the steams and fumes from the 

container causes delusion, fainting 

and excessive salivation.

quickly loses its original colour, 

odour, taste, texture,

becomes watery and full of 

glistening particles.

വിഷം കലർന്ന ചോറ് പാകത്തിൽ

കൊഴുക്കുന്നതിനാൽ വാർക്കാൻ

കഴിയാത്തതായിത്തീരും. വേവാൻ

കുറേ സമയമെടുക്കുന്നു. വെന്താൽ

തന്നെ പഴഞ്ചോറ് പോലെ ആയി

ത്തീരുന്നു. മയിൽക്കഴുത്തു പോലെ

നീല നിറമുള്ള ആവിയുണ്ടാകും . 

ശ്വസിച്ചാൽ മോഹവും മൂർച്ഛയും 

ഉണ്ടാകും. വായിൽ വെള്ളം

നിറയും. ചോറിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ മണവും

നിറവും ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. പെട്ടെന്ന് നുലയും .

ചോറിന്റെ മുകൾ ഭാഗത്ത് മയിൽപ്പീലി

വിതറിയിട്ട പോലെ നാനാ വർണ്ണങ്ങൾ

തോന്നിക്കും.
