External uses: Bark powder is used as a nasya for rhinitis, unconsciousness and headache, Bark powder - is applied on wounds and for removing maggots. It is also used to warm body parts on excessive sweating. In uata disorders, powder mixed with oil is used for massage. Decoction is used for gargling in oral diseases and toothache. A vaginal suppository made up of the powder contracts the uterus and reduces dysmenorrhoea. –

Internal uses: It is a nervine tonic and useful in vata disorders like facial paralysis. It is also used in anorexia, cardiac debility, haemoptysis, oedema, cough, asihma, rhinitis, urinary disorders, skin
