External uses: In eye diseases, paste of kaseru and yashtimadhu is applied- burns, boils and inflammations.

Internal uses: It is used in thirst, vomiting and diarrhoea. In cholera, its rhizome rubbed with rose water is given which helps in reducing the symptoms. It is a cardio tonic. In jaundice. flowers are used It is also used in seminal debility, urinary disorders, lever, burning sensation and general debility, lilt a galactagogue also
Dose: Rhizome 1.5 to 2 gms.
