वचा तीक्ष्णोष्णगुणा कटुका कफवातनुत्।
दीपन्यग्निविवृद्धिघ्नी मेध्योष्णा बुद्धिदायिनी॥
ग्रहणीदोषहन्त्री च कासश्वासविनाशिनी।
आमपाचकरी हृष्टा हिक्काशूलविनाशिनी॥
कृमिघ्नी च सदा सेव्याः स्निग्धोष्णा रुचिप्रदा।
स्तम्भकं शोथहन्त्री च बल्योष्णा विबुद्धिदा॥
व्रणशोधनकुशलाः कण्ठ्योष्णा स्वरकारिणी।

It is beneficial in curing grahaṇī (malabsorption), cough, asthma, and breathlessness. Vachā digests toxins (āma), energizes the body, and relieves hiccups and abdominal pain. It is an anthelmintic and suitable for regular use. Slightly unctuous and hot, it improves appetite and taste. It reduces stiffness and swelling while strengthening the body and awakening the mind.
