Poem - The sailor

A sailor set his sails, sails, sails
To catch the wind and waves, waves, waves
He journeyed far and wide, wide, wide
To see the world beyond the tide, tide, tide

He sailed across the equator, equator, equator
And saw the sun shine bright, bright, bright
He braved the stormy seas, seas, seas
And rode the waves with all his might, might, might

He saw the dolphins play, play, play
And the whales swim in the bay, bay, bay
He watched the seagulls soar, soar, soar
And the sea gulls dive and sway, sway, sway

But all that he could see, see, see
Was the bottom of the deep blue sea, sea, sea
For all his adventures and all his might, might, might
The sailor saw only the sea, sea, sea
