हीयते वर्णगन्धाद्यैः क्लिद्यते चन्द्रिकाचितः॥"

विषवान् ओदन: सान्द्र: अविस्त्राव्यतां याति इव ।
चिरेण पच्यते । पक्व: पर्युषितोपमः भवेत् ।
मयूरकण्ठतुल्योष्मा मोहमूर्छाप्रसेककृत् ।
गन्धवर्णाद्यैः हीयते । क्लिद्यते । चन्द्रिकाचितः।

വിഷം കലർന്ന ചോറ് പാകത്തിൽ
കൊഴുക്കുന്നതിനാൽ വാർക്കാൻ
കഴിയാത്തതായിത്തീരും. വേവാൻ
കുറേ സമയമെടുക്കുന്നു. വെന്താൽ
തന്നെ പഴഞ്ചോറ് പോലെ ആയി
ത്തീരുന്നു. മയിൽക്കഴുത്തു പോലെ
നീല നിറമുള്ള ആവിയുണ്ടാകും .
ശ്വസിച്ചാൽ മോഹവും മൂർച്ഛയും
ഉണ്ടാകും. വായിൽ വെള്ളം
നിറയും. ചോറിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ മണവും
നിറവും ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. പെട്ടെന്ന് നുലയും .
ചോറിന്റെ മുകൾ ഭാഗത്ത് മയിൽപ്പീലി
വിതറിയിട്ട പോലെ നാനാ വർണ്ണങ്ങൾ
തോന്നിക്കും.
