SHATCHAKRA CONCEPT IN AYURVEDA

SIX CHAKRA

1)Muladara is in the anus region.

2)Svadhishthana is near the genital organ region.

3)Manipura is in the navel region.

4)Anahata is in the heart region.

5)Vishuddhi Chakra is at the neck region.

6)Ajna Chakra is between the two eyebrows.

POSITION OF SHATCHAKRA

Chakras (wheels) are situated in various point of Sushumna (spinal cord) accourding to Ayurveda in the five regions of the spinal column (coccygeal, sacrum, lumbar, dorsal and cervical region).Correspond to the regions of the five Chakra : Muladhara, Svadhishthana, Manipura, Anahata and Vishuddhi Chakra are found. All the body functions are under the control of the Chakras in Sushumna (spinal cord) .

MAIN ELEMENTS OF SHATCHAKRA

1.Muladhara (Root): Earth

2.Svadhisthana (Sacral): Water

3.Manipura (Navel): Fire

4.Anahata (Heart): Air

5.Vishuddhi (Throat): Ether

6.Ajña (Third Eye): Light

7..Sahasrara (Crown): Space

IDA AND PINGALA

The Merudanda (spinal column) placed on the left and the right are the two Nadi(nerve) Ida and Pingala and the Nadi Sushumna is in the middle.The Ida starts from the right testicle and Pingala from the left testicle and they meet Sushumna Nadi at the Muladhara Chakra and make a knot.

1.MULADHARA CHAKRA

Muladhara (root of support) is the lowest  among the chakras(wheel) and it's located at the base of the spine in between the penis and anus.

2.SVADHISHTHANA CHAKRA

Svadhishthana (seat of vital force ) chakra is the second of chakrasits also called Jalamandala and is situated at the base of the Lingamula (genital organ orgin).

3.MANIPURAKA CHAKRA

This is the third chakra and is called Manipura ( city of gem) it is in Nabhisthana ( navel region).

4.ANAHA CHAKRA

This is the fourth chakra called Anahata (unbeaten ever), and is in the center of Vayu mandal (Place of Air )

5.VISUDDHA CHAKRA

This is the fifth chakra called Visuddha Chakra(divine place) and is situated within the Sushuna Nadi(spinal cord) and at the base of the throat.It's the center of Akasa Tattva (ether)

6.AJNA CHAKRA

This is the sixth chakra known as Ajna Chakra is situated within Sushumna Nadi(spinal cord) in between the two eyebrows and it's said as the dwelling place of our mind.

SAHASRARAPADMA CHAKRA

The Sahasradala-Padma  is situated in top of scalp and it is said to have 1000 petals it's through here we attain Moksha.

KUNDALINI SHAKTI

Its through the awakening of Kundalini Shakti we obtain the Moksa (liberation) and our Atman becomes the part of God.
