Panchamahabhutas in Ayurveda and its influence on Mind and Body

In Ayurveda our body is made of five kinds of elements they are the follows:

1.Air(Vayu) – It is the reason for heart beating, muscles movement,respiratory functioning,eye movement,blood circulate etc.....It is responsible for mind calmness,patience etc..

2.Fire(Tejas) – It is the reason for body power to change one thing to another especially in metabolism such as solid to liquid and gas and gas to solid.It is resposible for anger,fear etc..

3.Water(Aap)– It is the reason for all fluid state in body it is also resposible for calmness,lazyness etc.

4.Earth (Prithvi)– It is the reason for all solid state of the matter in the body  the stability of the matter.It is the reson for strong mind,strong disition capacity,good memory etc..

5.Ether(Akash) – It is the reason for the empty space  on the body empty space in nose, mouth, ear, respiratory tract, thorax,atom,molicules etc in body.It is the part of the universal observer on our body

 Food According to Dosha in Ayurveda that can influence the Mind of a person

1.Vata Nature Person

Aggravated Vata natured Person Character

1.Anxiety

2.Worry

Vata pacifying foods

Vitiated vata can calmed through  warm, moist, soft,oily food such as sweet, sour and salty taste.

Beets, carrots, cucumber, green beans, onions,garlic, radishes, sweet potatoes,Bananas, coconuts, dates, mangoes, melons, peaches,oats, rice,cheese, gee etc.....

2.Pitta Nature Person

Pitta Dosha

Elements of pitta are water and fire.

Aggravated Pitta natured Person Character

1.Anger

2.Hate

3.Jealousy

4.Impatience

5.Mental confusion

6. Intelligent

Pitta pacifying foods

Vitiated pitta can be calmed through cool, heavy ,sweet, bitter,astringent food like ghee, coconut oil,  milk, rice, beans, steamed vegetables ,olive oil,coriander seeds, cardamom,barley, oats, wheat etc..

3.Kapha Nature Person

Kapha Dosha

Elements of Kapha are water and earth.

Aggravated Kapha Natured Person Character

1.Lethargy

2.Boredom

3.Laziness

4.Mental dullness

5.Calmness

6.Talkative

Kapha Pacifying Foods

Vitiated kapha can be calmed through dry, hot ,pungent, bitter,astringent tasted food like ginger, chillies, pickles raw foods, salads, dried fruits in general apricots, figs, prunes etc..
