THREE QUALITIES IF MIND ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA


Three qualities of mind are known as "Triguna" .According to this concept from Sankhya Darshan in Ayurveda human mind is made of Sattwa (purity form of mind), Rajas (active form of mind) and Tamas (laziness of mind ). These three qualities exist in every person in various proportions that determines one's personality.

1)Sattwa: The person who has sattwa guna possess intelligence, harmony, phonesty, modesty, self-control, faith,love,truthfulness,contentment etc.....

2)Rajas: The person who has Rajas guna possess dutiful, power,passion, agitation, active, dominance,  prestige, attached to the senses,ego,desires etc...

3)Tamas: The person who has Rajas guna possess a negative force of darkness which has laziness, ignorance, close mindedness, lack of self awareness, fear, depression, dullness,anxiety etc....
