Botanical differences between the common Rubia cordifolia as follows...
Rubia manjith: corollas that are distinctly purplish-red, red, or orange, featuring spreading lobes that measure only 1.2 to 1.5 mm.
Rubia manjith fruits: Yields fleshy round berries that ripen into a deep dark red colour
Rubia cordifolia: Variable flowers that range from white and greenish-yellow to pale yellow. The corollas lean toward a campanulate (bell-shaped) structure with noticeably reflexed lobes.
Rubia cordifolia fruits: Larger berries that mature into a distinct black or dark blue colour.
