Charkasamhita illustrates the intake of Shankhpushpi (शङ्खपुष्पी )in the form of kalka to achieve medhya function.
Different sources of plants are presently considered Shankhpushpi, but analysis of synonyms and the teachings of Great Gurus like Nirmalananda swamiji reveal a plant that matches all synonyms in Ayurvedic Nighandus.
This plant grows in forest areas (Vanavilasini and Kiridi)
A small herb denoted by the synonym Bhoomilata,
Flowers described as
Sitapushpi or Ksheerpushpi (white-colored flowers, like milk),
