लशुनं कुबेरनयनान्मूलं स्याद्विश्वभेषजम् ।
मूलं शक्रलतायाश्च तद्वदेरण्डसम्भवम् ॥
कृत्वा कषायं तस्मिंस्तु रुबुतैलं ससैन्धवं ।
सम्मिश्र्य प्रपिबेदेतद्वृद्धिनाशनमुत्तमम् ॥

Ullivettatukadi Kashayam is a classical kashaya preparation explained in the Ayurveda text book ‘Sahasrayogam’. It is detailed in the context of ‘ Vridhi in Sahasrayoga ‘.
 Major Ingredients of the Ullivettatukadi Kashayam and their properties are:
• Lashuna (Allium sativum):Guru, Pichila, Tikshna, Snigdha – kaphavathahara, Deepana, Rakthadoshahara,Jandhugna.
• Kuberaksha (Caesalpinia bonduc): Laghu, Ruksha – Kaphavathahara, Kriminashaka, Andhrashoolapaham.
• Karnasphota (Cardiospermum halicacabum): Laghu, Ruksha – Vathapithahara, Vridhihara, Vishahara, Muthrala.
• Eranda (Ricinus communis): Guru, Tikshna – Vathahara, Medhohara, Amapachana, Srothoshodaka.
• Shunti (Zingiber officinale): Laghu, Snigdha- Vathakaphahara, Hrdhya, Deepana, Anulomana.
Dose :10- 20 ml kashayam with 40ml boiled and cooled water or as directed by the Physician.
Adjuvent: Eranda Thailam (castor Oil), Saindhava (Indhupp/Rock salt).
Phalasruthi: Vrishanam churundupom ‘/ Vridhinashanamuthamam

Therapeutic Indications
• BPH
• Uterine fibroids
• Hydrocele

Most of ingredients are Vathakaphahara, Vridhihara in nature and so it is effective in condition like Hernia, Benign prostatic hyperplasia and uterine fibroids. It is mainly effective in ‘ Apana vatha vaighunya ‘disorders. It also helps to relieves pelvic congestion syndrome.
