Kalkandam

Kalkandam (also spelled Kalkandu or Kalkand) is the Malayalam/Tamil name for rock sugar or sugar candy, known in Sanskrit as "Kṣaudra śarkarā" or sometimes "Śarkarā kṣaudra miśritā" (honey-mixed sugar). In Ayurveda, it's considered a mild, sattvic, and beneficial sweetener with several therapeutic properties.
