कण्ठ्यं स्वरविकारेषु लेखनं गर्तनाशनम्॥

Bibhītakī is an excellent fruit known for its power to destroy kapha and pitta. It is bitter and astringent in taste, undergoes pungent digestion, and acts as a rejuvenator. Taken regularly, it improves eyesight and relieves urinary difficulties. It is beneficial in throat conditions and clears deep-seated phlegm. Bibhītakī purifies the blood, balances all three doṣas, and improves digestion. It is effective in skin disorders and in curing ailments of the head and limbs. A superior medicinal herb, it enhances the complexion and beauty of the skin. Among the three fruits of Triphalā, it holds the central and best place.
