Nasya

Nasya is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that involves the administration of medicated oils or herbal preparations into the nasal passages. It is a form of cleansing and purification therapy that aims to eliminate toxins, congestion, and imbalances in the head and neck region.

The procedure of Nasya involves lying on one's back with the head tilted back, and then a few drops of medicated oil or herbal preparation are administered into each nostril using a dropper or a special Nasya pot. The person is then asked to inhale deeply, and the oil is allowed to penetrate deep into the nasal passages.

Nasya therapy is believed to have many benefits, including improving mental clarity, reducing stress and anxiety, relieving sinus congestion and allergies, improving respiratory health, improving vision, and promoting sound sleep. It is also used as a preventive therapy to boost the immune system and promote overall health and well-being.

It is important to note that Nasya should only be performed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, as improper administration or use of the wrong oils or herbal preparations can have adverse effects. It is also not recommended for pregnant women, individuals with high blood pressure, or those with acute nasal infections.
