What does detoxification mean?


The Detoxification is a natural process done by our body to identify, neutralize, and eliminate things that are unhealthy for us. It is the main function of our body hence it is a process which keeps our body healthy and improves and optimizes its functioning.

There are several types of toxins.

1:Anti-nutrients such as high fructose corn syrup, trans-fats, caffeine, alcohol, and processed foods

2:By-products from the chemical processes that keep us alive such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, bile, urea, and stool

3:Medications used improperly, inappropriately, or too often.

4:Heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic, lead, cadmium, tin, and aluminum

5:Chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, cleaning products, solvents, and glues

6:Allergens such as food, mold, dust, pollen, and chemicals
Causes of infections such as bacteria, viruses, yeast, and parasites

7:Stress such as lack of personal time, too much work, excessive worry, too little rest, and financial strain

8:Unhealthy mental states such as addictions, overeating, and destructive mental patterns

9:Distractions that surround us such as constant noises, smells, lights, and images

10:Over-stimulation from advertisements, radio, computers, TV, phones, and pagers

11:Lack of spiritual connection, a loss of meaning and purpose
Isolation, the lack of social support and community

12:Nature deprivation, being disconnected from natural environments

13:Negative emotions and persistent self-defeating thoughts such as anger, fear, guilt, hopelessness

Essentially, detoxification is medicinal and refers to the natural removal of toxins from the body. The major body systems that work together to maintain health and balance and detoxification include our:

Liver and gallbladder
Kidneys
Gut
Skin
Lungs
Lymphatics/Circulation
Mind/Brain

It is usually tough to understand or identify if the internal cleansing system is properly functioning or not. Though detoxification system is the most ignored by the current medical system, it is the main component of the body’s functionality. 

The body requires different proteins,minerals  and vitamins along with other molecules for helping it get rid of the unwanted waste and chemicals so a massive work is performed by liver along with intestinal tract, kidneys, lymphatic system, lungs, and skin are also involved in the complex system of detoxification.

We are exposed to so many chemicals be it in our food supply, the air we breathe, daily we use cosmetics, and other chemical agents in cleaning. Some of these are very harmful and can cause potential damage. 

Detoxification should be a lifestyle change where focus is more on eating clean food. It results in cleansing of the body, nourishing and recharging it. So have a healthy lifestyle and healthy diet to detoxify your body
